Getting there

The access point is on the 25th km of the Rethymno-Koxare-Plakias provincial road. Use the confirmed gorge/waterfall map point on your phone, then follow local signs and staff guidance near the entrance.

The official ticket booth area is near 35.189400, 24.463431 at about 192 m altitude. The waterfall area is near 35.196208, 24.466172 at about 112 m altitude.

By car, allow about 30-35 minutes from Rethymno and about 15 minutes from Plakias, depending on season and traffic. From Heraklion, allow roughly 1 hour 15 minutes.

Use marked parking areas only. In peak season, parking can fill early. Do not park on the road because emergency vehicles must be able to pass.

Public transport and arrival
